ABOUT ME

I am extremely generous with myself, because only when I have enough could I give anything to others. I usually don't pack one of any food item, because it would suck if I have to share that ONE thing with somebody else. So instead, I take two of everything. It all comes down to me being selfish and not wanting to share what's mine, but give what I could, without having half of what's for me. I think that's the difference between being 'nice' and being 'kind'.

If you want something enough, go get it! (Just don't hold up a liquor store.)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I miss traveling, I miss sitting in a cafe alone and starting up a conversation with a stranger and then getting invited to a rooftop party then meeting all their friends and having my itinerary filled and fulfilled by a string of random moments with random people. Couchsurfing allows for the conversations to start because we live in a society that tends to be suspicious of friendly people.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: I associate different music with different phases. My boy band period enabled me to still sing along to N'Sync and Backstreet Boys. Puberty introduced me to Metallica, Ozzy, and Tool. But the phase has passed. These days, I like cheesy love songs because they are relaxing, and I try to listen to Swing Era music so I could figure out the beat for my two left feet.

Movies: (Haven't seen too many but...) Winged Migration, Forest Gump, Legend of the Condor Heroes, The Razor's Edge, March of the Penguins, Groundhog Day

Books: Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Harry Potter Books, Life of Pi, The Phantom Tollbooth, Watership Down, stories by Nick Hornby, Carlos Castenada, Shakespeare, Orson Scott Card

It's a toss up between:
Living in a small village, in a foreign country, and enjoying it!
or...Jumping out of a plane for the first time, alone, because of miscommunication :)
