À propos de moi

Hi! I'm Poch, you can also call me Pochi. Sounds much funner and shows a lot more about my personality.

I come from Butuan City, Philippines. Located in one of the 7,107 island of the Philippines, Butuan City is a small and developing city, home to over 250,000 humans, always with a warm heart with the values of suburban living.

Growing up in that environment, allowed me to be an easy-going and chill person who just loves a lot of things. I love the environment, computers, destroying and fixing computers, animals, pretty much a lot of things, but most especially people! We are such an interesting species, both in a good and bad way, but it doesn't stop me from getting to listen to each and everyone's story.

Eventually, I left the house at 12 for better education in a bigger city, and eventually moved to the infamous capital of the Philippines, Manila, at 16. Being away from the family has taught be independence, which pretty much allowed me to develop constantly, while trying my best to fend away the bad things. Eventually this love grew a form, called service. In the ideals, that our purpose here in this world is not to just be on self-sustenance, as we are an evolved species, I believe in a life of service to make the world a better place, for you and for me.
However, despite this idea of the intricateness of mankind, I believe in the idea of a greater force. Something that seems to create these little wonders of the world possible. Somehow, there is just so much beauty in the way things work, from how your food allows you to walk, up til the formation of the stars above us(which may already be gone, but the light has just reached us, AMAZING RIGHT?!); that it seems impossible that man will fully understand and grasp the reality of it's amazingness. Call it a god if you must, but let's just call it faith.

TL;DR
I give a lot of love but just quit playing games with my heart m nice. in a weird way.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

(insert generic meeting new people, cultures blah :)))

But seriously, beyond that, I believe in the farfetched ideal of a world where everyone just keeps on giving. This way we actually help one another, because it's what should make us different as humans) If somebody needs a warm cozy roof for the night, I'd be glad to accommodate you (given you're not some pyscho killer of course :))) and paying it forward to the people who have also done the same for me.

Centres d'intérêt

Destroying gadgets, then fixing them. Or at least I try to.

Dancing, but dancing doesn't love me back.

I love oranges. REALLY. anything that is naturally orange, I will consume. Just don't taint it with chocolate or candify it. It is an insult to orange enthusiasts like me.

I am really passionate about service. Not particular with the field, but if I had to choose, it would be environmental conservation (specifically waste management), and medicine, specifically hospital management. With the help of course of techology, to make these solutions more effective, and create a wider reach. Yes, I am also clearly a fan of science and the marvels that it allows us to understand, but yet we're still a LOOONG way from a tiny pinch of it.

Family. Because ya know, we're always about friends, when friends come and go. Family will always be there for you, even when things go bad, or they let you through shit, won't change the fact that you are their offspring and we're just coded to still be affected by them.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

All of my TimeLife Books, from a 30-volume history of the world, to biology, to the rims of outer space. Not to mention my atlas and 100 books of encyclopedias. Oh but I think all time winner would be, The little prince. Man, best book ever. Real life shit in there. Read it, if you need to know how to actually be human.

Music- I passively listen, so whatever is catchy, I'm down.

Movies- Meet the Robinsons (because we should keep moving forward), Lego Movie(everything is really awesome) and of course, the little prince again

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Existing in this world HAHAHAHA. Ya know, really, this question makes people who haven't done much feel bad =)))

Probly biking 500km in a day, or running a marathon with no sleep? Triathlon after 2 hours of sleep and a crazy facilitation activity? Fixing a laptop after it got wet? Destroying a laptop in an attempt to fix it? Getting to go to europe on scholarship after working on an application for 24 hours because a friend dragged me to?

you be the judge.
