Hi! I´m Volker, a german guy in his mid-twenties. At the moment, I´m doing some work placements to get a job in the jounalist buisness some day. I came to Munich about tow years ago for the school of journalism. Finally I decided to stay here because I really like the place, wheter it´s about the famous Wiesn and the good beer, the cozy atmosphere in the city with its wonderful city market and beer gardens or the beautiful isar shore. In my free time i like cultural stuff and doing sports.
Normally I check my mails one time a day. So you will get answer in 24 hours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately, i first have to give a short comment on how couchsurfing works for me because i recently received a lot of silly requests:

Basically i think that couchsurfing is not just for free, but instead of paying money for an accomodation you have to pay with time and creativity. I still like this concept very much. A lot of poeple don´t think about it and so they send me standard-messages like "I´m very open-minded and want to meet new poeple". Actually that doesn´t say anything about You in our days. So here´s My request: Try to find the connection between us, surprise me with your personal attitudes or skills, show me who you in person is.
If this is too much of work for you, i would recommend you a hostel. They are not that expensive indeed.

Apart of that condition, here´s the very general reason why i like to offer my home to new poeple:

I like community, i like the idea to meet up especially with foreign poeple, i like spontaneous activities and last but not least i like to trust poeple.
