ABOUT ME

Facts: I love travelling (even more: impulsive travelling) and I ALWAYS have a black hole and don't know what to do when I come back home. I'm outgoing, social, always open to conversation, no matter where you come from, no matter the subject, no matter the drink that comes with the conversation. I don't care if you're a snob, a hippie or a metal head, I threat each and everyone equal. I'm a product of the Erasmus exchange generation. I only went 900kms away from Belgium, but living with people from all over the world really has changed me in a positive way.

Other than that: I study aeronautical engineering, so yes I always wanted to be a pilot when I was little. But dreams fade away and open new perspectives. It seems it's difficult to satisfy myself on the education level. I always want to go higher and study for a better degree. It's something like the 'always reach for the highest summit'. Don't be satisfied if you've climbed a 7000m mountain when there's an 8000m one waiting for you! I love flying gliders (don't have much time for it, too bad), going out, watching a movie, just chilling with a coffee, doing water sports (Kayak, swimming, snorkling). I always wanted to learn sailing/surfing, but Belgium is too cold! I'm definatly an outside person.
I'm passionate about Scandinavia, I don't know why, probably because of the nature...

PHILOSOPHY

Difficult one. Work to live sums it up pretty easily. Money doesn't stop you from doing great things. I'm someone who wants to feel the blood rushing through my veins. And guilty as charged, it doesn't happen enough in my life. For me as a student, it's difficult to find a certain balance between colleges/studying and the adrenaline I seek.
Maybe couch surfing is a good place to start the change.

Travel as much as possible! I still live at home, but next year I graduate from Uni. My plan is to move out of Belgium and try to discover Europe, and maybe find my own piece of paradise on earth. Don't worry, getting a comfy couch for you guys is included in this plan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe this is the place to sum up what I really want to do in my life! I've done some cool stuff, but nothing as spectacular as like kayaking to the USA ;-)
- I really want to go gliding in Namibia or South Africa!
- Climbing at least a 7000m mountain and at least stay a night on a +4000 one!
- Learn to surf and sail
- Make a Eurotrip by visiting as much countries as possible (though at least stay one night in each country)
- Go to the North pole
- See the Northern light
- Travel through Russia by train (takes a looong time!)
- Climb on the king's villa
- and much much more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some tips to book cheap flights with Ryanair to people (have done various trips go and return for under 10€).
If anyone is interested in boring calculus or other school related stuff, I'm always open! I also see that some people, if they know I'm studying aerospace engineering seem to ask me lots of questions about airplanes!
