ABOUT ME

My home, family and friends are in Peterborough, Canada, but it has always proved a difficult place for me to earn a living. So I frequently travel abroad to pursue my stained glass profession.

My travel tends not to be of the vacation variety. I prefer to move to a place, work there, live there until it becomes home or until loneliness drives me back to my people.

In recent years I've worked for studios in Ireland, Germany, the U.S. and Canada. As a more-or-less impoverished artist, I can only afford to travel if I go to work when I get there, but I've found that's the best way to learn about a place.

I'm 58, but tend to hang out with younger folk.

Interests

Most of my interests involve the intake or output of art. I love books, live music, theatre, dance, galleries. I give and take classes in various artforms. These interests, and the need to make a living, draw me to cities. I really prefer the country though. Water and trees make me happy. Swimming, canoeing, camping, walking, bicycling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach, learn, share. If facilities permit, I can teach you stained glass, photography/darkroom, art/drawing/painting, carpentry/construction. I'm good at reading stories.

I'd love it if someone could teach me some computer stuff, like help me load some photos of me and my art. I'm hopeless.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with home renovations.

I cook and clean dishes.
