About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have lots of fun and adventure, and to be a good person.

ABOUT ME

I'm from the U.S., but think of myself as a citizen of the world. I'm happily married. Music is an important part of my life. I love to sing, especially Barbershop. I love to spin fire poi, especially at Burning Man. I try to live the Burner Spirit and share the Burner Love every day of my life. I'm a nice guy.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to be a nice guy. I always try to be helpful, and I love having new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. I had some great experiences with CouchSurfing while I was serving in Tonga, and traveling in Samoa. It's all about meeting great people and having cool experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was 16, I travelled to Alaska to visit my brother. While there, I made some new friends, and had some different experiences crashing at their houses. It was all very exciting! I've also gone camping with folks in Iceland, which was amazing!
Thanks to the CS website, my wife and I stayed with some cool people in Samoa, which greatly enhanced our trip there. More recently, we stayed in an AWESOME couch surfing house in Kyoto, Japan! (thanks Shoji!!)

Interests

My favorite band is They Might Be Giants, and I love to see them in concert! Spinning Fire Poi is one of my favorite activities (though I don't do it often enough!) I love traveling to new places, so I can see new things and meet new people. I also love to experience art in many different ways. Creativity should always be nourished and cherished. I'm also very interested in Sustainability.
