About Me

You'll find out who I am. Yet, If you have to host me or be my guest, It'd be nice if you knew a bit of me.

Otherwise, your hosting/guesting choice might be the wrong one.

A brief summary:

Young and optimistic...
I'll make it quick coz I'm reallistic

Born and raised in BCN,
I don't know how I'll end
But I'm half a scientist
And half an artist as well

I love people and culture
And trust in our future
I share my thoughts...
Though my rithmes basically suck.
Fuck. I'll end this fast

Eyes on the future
Left foot on my past
Right foot on the present
And ready to run.

Ok, that was fun.
Following list,
has more info
But doesn't say who I am.

For living: biochemistry student, soon food science student. I love gastronomic processes and will gladly learn what u can offer me and teach you what I can teach.

Hobbies: amateur musician (I play drums and write lyrics, mainly rap but in my language, I suck in english, you saw), listening to live music (any kind, but right now I'm very fond of jazz-hop), discovering and trying food stuff (a lot), hiking, reading...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Three main reasons:

1-I love staying with locals and sharing the day-a-day live of locals. I travelled to Japan for one month using CS and it was a really good experience.
2-I think humanity is meant to be united and share our knowledge.
3-Fighting gentrification:
Barcelona is a very touristic city. It is also a little big city, which means that the city has many things to discover, and the way-of life of locals can be very diverse, but the city still gets an important impact from the tourism industry.

Many people can't live anymore in their childhood neighborhood, AirBNB is taking the homes of many locals; franchise hotels, restaurants and bars are gaining against traditional and little shops/artisans/restaurants; etc... Barcelona is loosing its identity because of an unregulated tourism. Not only that, many tourists come to Barcelona thinking that Barcelona is not what it really is: a kind of Pre-cooked-paella and sangria-Disneyland. This is not only bad for the locals who's city is being prostituted, but also for the tourists that are fooled by a huge fraud.

My mission is to share my city with "guiris" (a disrespectful Spanish word for tourists) so they are no longer "guiris". I think that's the way we can altogether end this exploitation and extermination of Barcelona's people and culture. If I cannot host you, I'll be happy to give you some friendly local recommendations.

Now, if you've read this far, you should know enough of me to decide whether or not I can be a good host to you. For this reason, when applying to me write "Please, not sangria for me" in the beginning of you message.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, most of all Jazz (Miles, Coltrane, Baker, Snarky Puppy, Jacob Collier, Rh Factor, Ryo Fukui, Brad Mehldau...) , Hip Hop derivatives (Nujabes, Urban Spices, Tricky, 2pac, Big Menu...) and many other things (from Prodigy to Stevie Wonder).

I also love reading: from "Gastronomy Science" books (Harold McGee, Neurogastronomy...), philosophy and foreign religion, to more friendly-reading books such as Beat Generation's, Salinger... (I'm pretty optimist and easy going, though).

I like some comic books like V from Vendetta, Watchmen or Corto Maltese. Also some anime or manga like Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent, Evangelion, Psycho-Pass, FLCL, Ergo Proxy.

I enjoy nice movies or TV series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The little things are the ones that matter (this is from a spanish beer comercial lol)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach biochemistry, my language and culture, cooking, playing drums...
I'm learning Japanese, so I want to practise. I'm open to any recommendations to discover new things.

I can always give you local advise in BCN.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have a spare room at home that we usually rent for long periods, but if it is available you can stay a few days. If I'm not busy I can show you my favorite things in the city.

Even if I can't guest you, I can always give you recommendations about the citty I live in.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom
