About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore my limits and overcome them.

ABOUT ME

It's never easy to talk about yourself. I'm open-minded, honest, peaceful person. I'm a bit melancholic when I'm alone, but I love LISTENING to people. I'm always curious what are their motives, why are they in an given place in their lives etc. I'm trying to find my own way of living... I've dropped one studies, worked in event management for a while, then got back to the university. I'm studying to become a translator, but really I treat it just as a way to challenge myself and broaden my horizons. I want to work as a movie editor. And maybe one day in the future also as a director of movies. DREAMS!

PHILOSOPHY
Live and let others lead their lives the way they want.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friend from Wrocław was talking so much about her journeys that included couchsurfing, that I decided to try the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a host a few times, but not necessarily through couchsurfing.com. I've hosted a girl from Georgia while she was visiting Poland on MUN (Model United Nations) program; I've hosted a pair of debaters (one from Germany, one from Croatia) during Warsaw Open (Debating Championship); I've hosted couple from Hungary, friends of a friend.

MY HOUSE IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR THOSE, WHO WANT TO SHARE EXPERIENCE, THOUGHTS, OPINIONS ETC. My friends visit me all the time, I often throw parties, I'm a sociable creature.

I've also surfed a bit- I slept in Wroclaw in one girls flat, then we became friends. Recently I also stayed in Padua with a lovely Italian girl and her flatmates.

Interests

As a start I should call it generally: art. I love creating and admiring.

The most important area of it is film. I constantly watch films: at home, in the cinema, during the festivals. I have my favorite ones, which I can watch a hundred times, but I'm always curious to find new ones. I also love making movies, I hope one day I'll become a movie editor. I feel really excited and satisfied while working on a movie, I have a few short ones in my portfolio.

My portfolio is also full of photos. I rarely go anywhere without my camera, you never know when you'll see something worth taking a picture.

I couldn't live without music, as well. I listen to it all the time, I love going to concerts, I can also play the piano. Music is magical, it's hard to explain, but we all know how huge is it's influence on our emotions, thoughts and fears.

I can't imagine my life without books. I feel created by them, they change our perspectives, our ways of looking at issues, problems, other people. It's amazing how many roles books can play- they can be teachers, even masters, best friends, in some cases also a medicine to our problems.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitch-hiked there and back from Warsaw to Italy (Venice, then Padua). I'm a rather organized and nervous person, so that was A REAL CHALLENGE (and we didn't split up with my boyfriend during the trip, so that's another one, haha).
