About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make people smile and get better at drums/guitar/singing

ABOUT ME

not much to tell. 28, living in Zurich after I've moved here from Amsterdam, from Hamburg, form London, from Zurich, from Davos, from Hamburg from Munich.

PHILOSOPHY

Take the path less traveled, it's might not be as easy, but there are enough people taking the easy way through life and that's not going to get us anywhere. Also, bad decisions lead to the best stories. I'm somewhat impulsive when it comes to doing fun things and protecting friends and helping hands from harm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So I've hosted some people which have so far all been very pleasant experiences and I go to the meetup in Amsterdam.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a couple of surfers and had a great time. I'm hoping to go to Berlin was awesome!

Interests

Music (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano) Traveling (until recently I worked for Airbnb which was what sparked my need to travel), meeting people from all the corners of the world, then visiting those corners, I'm not interested in politics, but I love talking religion (as long as it's not "your going to hell for not believing) cultural differences and I absolutely love acting on impulse. It doesn't always end well for me but it sure gets people to smile and that's what I live off. I know it sounds cheesy but I love making people happy. If they're having a good time, I'm having a good time. If they're not I kinda feel guilty for not being more entertaining.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a weird reader. Currently I'm reading Die vermessung der Welt by Daniel Kehlmann(inzwischen fertig, sehr interresant!), Der Hundertjährige der aus dem Fenster stieg und verschwand (inzwischen auch Fertig, ist Ungemein Witzig!) by Jonas Jonasson (real name, not kidding, made me giggle as well) Limit by Frank Schätzing, Iron Angel by Alan Campbell and Ein anderes Leben by Per Olov Enquist... silmutaneously. I'll get bored of one book, start another, get bored, go back to the first, or start another. Movies.. hmm.. nie anything. Music. Nie anything but really enjoy Swing/Electro Swing, Rock, Blues, Minimal, House, Electro, Jazz and in some very rare instances hip hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was little my parents took me to see Maya Pyramids which blew me away. I've made it to 25 years without being mugged or a fight a single time which I think is pretty cool. My dad always taught me to train the one muscle that counts in todays sociaty: the brain. So I did. Then I discovered I could be pretty persuasive when I talked two groups of uni students out of beating the crap out of each other. This ones actually quite funny. I was in bath with my best mate and it was roughly 5 in the morning and we had all been drinking retarded amounts of alcohol. On the way back I saw the two groups gearing up and I said "no, you muppets are not gonne ruin my god damn night" and stepped inbetween them. My mate was scared shitleess, as chains were swinging and brass knuckles were being put on. I argued that they were never going to get laid with cuts, broken ribs/jaws or blue eyes because contrary to popular belief, that is not sexy. Turns out that that was a valid argument not to fight so we all went home without cuts and bruises. :)
There are TONS of these stories which I love telling because yes I'm an attention whore, but the one who entertains and makes people laugh, so I guess it's ok. You'll have to ask me for more if you're interested.
