Hey! I'm russian girl with blue hair) Welcome to my page!

I have three main spheres of interests: science, art and travelling. I'm working in scientific institute on the investigation of the greatest enigma of our world - the human brain and in my free time love painting. As a creative person, I like all sorst of unusual things: pictures, clothes, buildings, people. Travelling is a way to find something unique and a great source of inspiration for me. So now, after visiting about 20 countries, I can't imagine my life without travelling to new places! Not only civilization, but also the wild nature is drawing me. I have an experience of mountainaring in really harsh conditions (sleeping in tent when the temperature outside is about -20C, carry a twenty kilogram backpack).

Also I'm a dreamer! I dream about buying a van and being like a hippie, about having a personal flying machine, about painting a cartoon about my imaginary world. One of my food kryptonites are french, italian and holland cheeses. Sometimes I even think of becoming a fromager! And my sweatest dream is to take part in the Burning man! Do you know anything about it? )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was a child, I used to travel with my mom and stay in hotels. Then, when I grew up and married, I used to travel with my husband and stay in flats of hosts from Airbnb. I understood that living in local flats allows you to feel the spirit of a country you are visiting much better. And Couchserfing is a way to be one more step closer to local culture.

One more reason of registration on Coachserfing is a willing of meeting new people. During my trips to such multinational cities as Berlin and Paris I coludn't stop admiring how different people around me are! Every person is a whole Universe and meeting new people allows you to broaden your own horizons!

And, of cource, last but not least reason is a desire to improve my English speech. Writing English texts is much easier for me because I have time to think and to correct someting, but speaking spontaneously is quite difficult. I'm planning to pass IELTS this year, so discussing different topics in English will be really useful for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different kinds of music, mostly songs from 80-s and 90-s. To be honest, I don't watch a lot of movies, but I like ones with deep psycological or phylosophical subtexst, for instance "Cloud atlas", "Inception", "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I prefer reading popular-science books, currently I'm reading "Sapiens", which tells about the development of humanity and it seems to me so compehensive!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During this year I visited 7 new countries! And I'm going to visit one more (Sweden) on 6-10 September)
Also, this year I started my own busines. I never supposed I'll do it!
I've generated an idea how to synthetize a permanent hair dye of new generation, that won't destroy hair and will repare them.

Teach, Learn, Share

My husband is keen on mountaineering and I also went hiking several times, so we can share our moutain experience. Aslo my husband is a programmer and he wrote a programme for learning new foreighn words which helped him to improve his English. Now he uses this programme to learn Chineese, and he can share this programme with you and teach you some basics of Chineese language.

And, of cource, we'll be glad to discuss any scientific topic with you because we are scientists)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with household chores during my stay (for example, I cook creps that are traditional in our country), paint something for you and, if you are as crazy as me, I can dye your hair in bright colour! I'm not a professional photographer but I like taking photos, so I can make a kind of photoshoot in the most beautiful places of your city for you. And, if you want, I can give some Russian souvenirs to you)
