Overview
About Me
I am studying Natural Sciences at UCL in London. I moved to the UK in 2012 from Russia and lived in Oxford for two years. I really love meeting new people, visiting new places and pushing my boundaries. I try to find ways to fully immerse myself in experiences when I have the chance to travel. Last summer I travelled into the depths of Siberia and sailed lake Baikal (if you havent heard of it, google it and go there, you won't be disappointed) on a homemade boat and have travelled Europe by myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This website offers something that no others do. I'm not particularly interested in staying in hotels or being pampered while travelling. I am far more interested in learning about the local cultures and quirks, and the best way to do that is to live with someone who is actually from the place. It offers a far more genuine experience.
Interests
I have a passion for learning and enjoy getting to know people and culture. I like trains and long journeys and staying up late drinking fine wine and chatting nonsense. I study neuroscience and am fascinated by the nature of the human brain, both in how it's built and how it works. My interests really vary, though, and I am always keen to try new things and learn new skills.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hold a human brain with my one hand (you can ask if you are curious, nothing sinister I swear)
