Overview
About Me
I'm that kind of person people get confused about when we start chatting. I'm the German girl, with a Russian background who speaks English with a North American (or may I say specifically Canadian!) accent.
That person who, when you ask, where she lives, she probably couldn't quite answer the question.
But you know what? I love it. I love travelling and seeing the world. Currently, I'm on my first solo backpacker trip and I can tell you I can't get enough. The people I've met throughout are absolutely magical and they've made my travels this much better.
What else do I do when I don't travel? I'm quite a foodie, if I may say so myself. I love cooking and trying out all sorts of different foods - both Asian street foods, but also fine food restaurants. I don't discriminate.
What would my friends say about me? Probably that I'm a bit crazy. That I just can't stay in one place for too long. Is that bad? I don't think so.
The more I experience, the better I feel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On a few occasions, I've met up with people from Couchsurfing (be it through other people or get-togethers) and the way I've gotten to know the places I was in was just so different from other 'tourists'. Better. Local knowledge is real knowledge. Apart from being on a student budget, which is of course another reason, there is just no other way to properly experience a place but with the help of people who live there. And what's extra? You get to meet absolutely incredible people.
Interests
I love culture and experiencing places in an authentic way. Apart from that I'm also totally into food, which, really, is a huge part of people's cultures, if you ask me! So, seemingly aimlessly walking around a new place, bumping into people and cafes, stumbling upon museums and parks. This could be my life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Schindler's List, Midnight in Paris, Shawshank Redemption. And many more.
Books: Lolita by Nabokov, Shantaram by David G. Roberts. I could go on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not sure if this counts as an 'amazing thing I've done', because it wasn't so much up to me as it was to the circumstances. But having moved away from home and abroad at the age of 16 sure has opened my eyes to many, many things and has made me the person I am now.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: playing some tunes on the piano, cooking badass desserts and feel bad about having eaten them afterwards?
Learn: people. just learn all the things from people.
Share: our opinions? exchange our passions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to share my passion for the places I have visited. I love to give people tips on where to go and recommendations on what to do (and where to eat... You see, this is an ongoing thing :) )
