About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn, explore and have the time of my life!

ABOUT ME

I'm an ambitious person. I have a positive outlook for the future, know what I want to do and am going off to do it.

I have been looking forward to a year of traveling since the beginning of university, and when that time came about I couldn't wait to get out there, see new things and meet new people.

I am up for pretty much anything. I love learning, seeing and experiencing. I'm told I'm pretty funny and I'm always up for a laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

You make your own luck. Don't sit back and expect good things to happen to you. Get out there and make them happen.

There is no such thing as can't. Have a goal in life and do your utmost to achieve it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By being a fantastic guest of course! And, when I'm back from my travels and have chance to host I'll certainly do my best to return the favour.

Seriously though - I want to meet people and experience different cultures. I think sites like this offer people the greatest opportunity to achieve that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as yet. I'm a couch surfing virgin! Well, through this web site anyway. I have had plenty of couch experiences round friends houses back home. Especially after eventful nights out!

I have however met up with a bunch of CouchSurfers in Tokyo. It was pretty awesome to find so many communicative, friendly people who instantly connected and got on so well.

Interests

Film, television, football, meeting people, traveling, partying and comedy!

Since living in Manly, Sydney for nearly 6 months, I've also took up surfing. It's an awesome sport. Can't wait to get back on a board.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It has to be the project that I have recently finished out in Borneo, Indonesia. Working for the Orangutan Foundation , I worked in a small team building a guard post on the river front at a protected point of the rainforest. It is hoped that the new building will help prevent illegal logging and provide better security for the land that it is hoped will be able to house rehabilitated orangutans.

Seeing orangutans close up, sitting with them (and even washing with them) was pretty much the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. To know that the work we were doing was taking a step towards ensuring their survival was a very satisfying feeling.
