About Me

CURRENT MISSION

“The world is a spheroid, designed to never end. We can explore it without limits, and we will have not end.”

ABOUT ME

Currently, I'm living in Tver,Russia. But it's not my nature to stay in one place for a long time. It's all about travelling. That's why we're all here, aren't we?

As you may have noticed already, I'm working as a teacher. Actually, I've never imagined myself in this position, even though I've got a diploma in teaching. Unexpectedly it turned out to be rather fun. The most important thing is - you should never stop learning yourself.

Spending much time travelling and due to my professional activity of course, I've become a very communicative and open person. I've never had any problems in getting along with people, and it is a great power of knowing the languages - you can make friends all over the world. Amazing!

PHILOSOPHY

There is no time for despair

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When the explorer is ready, the guide will appear.
So, here I am. I can guide you around my pretty little town with great pleasure. I'm good enough at history and my tours are always interesting, humorous and seem to be an informative introduction to Russian culture and language. Welcome!

Interests

Travelling for sure.I just can't survive without it. New places, new people - all this is the barest necessity.
Photography.I did a couple of courses in History of Photography and Studio Design. But this activity remained a hobby for me. Sometimes I realize my photographic ambitions though. Not without some help,of course. I'm not a great fan of selfies, nevertheless, this is a very tempting trend.
Food.I keep on aquiring culinary skills, baking in particular. That's just wonderful! Personally speaking, I'm not a vegetarian but I can survive without meet and keep to an elfish diet.
...and plenty of other interests like languages,sport,theatre,painting,felting...etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my source of sheer inspiration.I listen to rock mainly. There's a band of my life - Linkin Park. My loyalty to these guys lies down the years. Other bands & singers - Nightwish, Within Temptation, Coldplay, Rammstein, Sigur Ros, Eminem, Florence and the Machine, Die Antwoord, Kings of Leon, Pink Floyd, God is an Austronaut,Moby,Rob Zombie,Lacrimosa,Johny Marr,Placebo..ooh, far too much. I also don't mind classical music, jazz, folk, dark folk, reggae, lounge.
Films...Well, I was lucky enough to have a course in History of Cinematography and taught to appreciate great art. Among modern directors I can name Quentin Tarantino,Steven Spielberg,Darren Aronofsky,Peter Jackson,Christopher Nolan ,David Fincher
Books - fiction, history and psychology, literature in teaching

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, actually, I didn't do it, that just sort of happened to me:
Once I was working in the USA, somewhere in the middle-east and I had to stay overnight in some old trailer in the open country. I was completely alone that night except for a cat and a dog. Such a strange company in such a strange place, isn't it?And a really heavy thunderstrom was gathering with lightnings and all such things. There were no people around, no one to call for help. Oh,God. I thought I was going to repeat Dorothy Gale's fate and, with a happy turn of events, even meet The Wizard of Oz. Anyway, I was so scared and there was nothing to be done, so I just went to bed! Next morning the sun was shining and all the fears faded away

Teach, Learn, Share

We can always share experience. Indirectly,it may be of some value, you know

I'd love to learn Japanese properly. I'm totally in love with Japan and its culture!
And snowboarding..it's one of my favourite sports and I'm so bad at it
