Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey Hey! I am Polly, I am an office worker by day, and generally asleep by night, but when awake I love going on adventures both near and far, or - failing that- writing about them on my blog.
I am currently living in Bristol and I'm quite up on the whole 'where to take tourists' thing when friends visit, so if you are ever here and want a few ideas for places to visit, drop me a line.
I don't currently have the room to host people (I don't have the room for those of us who live here!) but I'm free most weekends if you need help with directions or fancy a tour of the place. I'm pretty good around Bath too, if you fancy a day on the bus...
Also - Bristol is the home of Banksy and the Largest Street Art Festival in Europe (Upfest) so if you are coming to visit that, I go every year and might see you there!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Initially, to get a heads up on places I wanted to visit - it was through this site I met one of my dear friends in Japan who I stayed with in Nara.
Just here to share the travel love and knowledge, if I can help at all.
While I am a bit 'South West' based at the moment, I am hoping to spread my wings and explore a bit more, with a few trips planned in the coming months...
Centres d'intérêt
All about art- whether that is looking at it or attempting to make it! Generally being crafty and making things, I have a blog that I write in regularly (PollysPadBlog.com) about my attempts to tick items off of my Bucket List.
I enjoy reading, history and culture, eco-stuff (bit of a hippy), singing and dancing (very badly, albeit enthusiastically) travelling - don't get to do a lot of this at the moment, so mostly through books and the internet...but one day!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Korean music - Mainly Hyukoh, but have a soft spot for Block B too
Dodie, Paul Weller, The Kinks...most other kinds of music too - not great with jazz though, except Nina Simone. Okay, so I do a bit of Jazz...
Any movies - though not too arty or deep. Not great with graphic violence or people being hurt.
Mostly non-fiction, self-help,history, geography type books. I am also a bit obsessed with maps. If I read 'stories' they are usually thriller/murder mystery type ones. Recently finished my first Murakami book, so looking to find more Japanese literature to read.
