About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover, grow up, go forward and have fun !

ABOUT ME

An interesting blend of serious and fun...
I really like classics... but techno music too.
Quite serious at work during the week and enjoying CS meetings and techno parties at the week-end...
That's how I am !
I spent 3 wonderful years in Normandy (2009-2012) close to Caen and Cherbourg. Then I moved back to Paris for a few months before moving to southern France in may 2013.
All of this thanks to my work, going from one construction site to another. A good way to mix interesting work and travelling/discovering new places !

PHILOSOPHY

"seems to be interesting... Let's go!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first discovered CS through the meetings in Paris and
during my travels across Europe. It has always been great experiences !
In lower Normandy we had wonderful time during CS meetings !
Now in southern of France we met some new interesting people and hopefuly we'll host some travellers in our house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Quite a lot of meetings during the 3 years in Normandy.
I took part to the organisation of CS events such as a week-end to Guernesey in September 2009, the yearly "New Year's Party at the Castle" (amazing, really), the Granville carnival in February 2010...
And CS is a great mean while travelling to discover the places visited with locals or other backpackers !

Interests

Discovering and travelling : in 2010 I've been travelling one month on my own in Chile from Santiago to Punta Arens (far southern end of Chile). It was an amazing experience with several great CS meetings.
Through my work (civil engineering from one construction site to another), I have the opportunity to discover new places in France and hopefuly abroad. From 2009 to 2012 I spent 3 years in Normandy where I enjoyed simple life close to the nature and had wonderful times thanks to CS. Lower Normandy group is a very active group with great people, always ready to discover and share.
I really hope to have the same wonderful experience here in southern France.

Techno parties abroad : I really enjoy going to techno parties all over Europe ! Mayday Poland and Budapest, Nature One in Germany, Armin Only and Dance Valley in the Netherlands, Sensation White in Lettonia, Portugal and Denmark... A good reason to visit different countries and to share incredible moment of fun and friendship ! I used to go to nightclubs in Paris (Djoon is definitly my favorite now!) but it's getting more and more rare. (getting old... no I'm kidding !)

Theater : in 2006 I started "improvisation theater". A theme is given, 20 s to think about it and let's go on the stage ! Just great : reactivity, creativness, team spirit and most of all great fun !

Salsa : I've begun lessons in 2007 and I really like it !

Piano : I had some lessons the last 2 years but I should practice more!

Mountain bike : I really like to ride across the nice country side of southern of France. More generally, I really love nature, wide landscapes... To give an example, I'm addicted to the Canadian rockies !

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies : like it but not addicted, let's go for a good film about nature or travel

Music :
- electronic music : Armin van Buuren, Above&Beyond, Vitalic, Derrick May live, the "Eastern Europe sound", the "pure fun english dance music" (Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound...)
- classics (the St Matthew Passion from Bach is one of my favourite)
- folk (Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton...), blues and country
- classic rock (Rolling Stones, Status Quo, U2...)

Books :
I use to read books about travel or novel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Plenty of wonderful CS meetings in Normandy: parties in a castle, Guernsey island, Normandy Summer Camp, Granville carnival...
My travel to Chile in 2010 was a great experience too, with amazing landscapes (Torres del Paine), moments in solo and good CS experiences at the other end of the world.
