Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Take time to appreciate all of the great things in life: trying not to get too bogged down with schoolwork
ABOUT ME
4 years into medical school and currently taking a year out to complete a Masters in Public Health. Living in a quirky little house with Hannah (wife) and Frito (dog) in the heart of Chapel Hill. Planning to be here here until at least May 2019 when residency match will decide where I will live and train for the next 3-4 years. One unique thing about our house is that we've got a little flock of 4 hens living in the backyard. Their names are Phyllis, Lil, Charlie, and Angelica. So that we know you didn't just mass-request a place to stay, mention the hens in your request. Bonus points if you know the name reference. Also please let us know a little bit about yourself and why you would like to stay here specifically.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is a journey to broaden the context for the truths that shape our individual realities. Mark twain described this as exemplifying the relationship between travel and prejudice, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted/surfed on three continents + the Caribbean but still feel live a novice.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started with hosting a few random American cross-country travelers and was able to surf my first couch in Haiti. It was an amazing experience and I hope to be couchsurfing until I'm old and grey.
