Overview
About Me
I have been a teacher for over 15 years. I teach students between 16 and 20-something about tourism and the world.
Being a teacher gives me the chance to travel for about 10 weeks every year. When I'm not teaching, I work as a photographer (mainly travel) and blogger.
When I'm not doing any of those, I am out with friends, listening to music or devouring some 5-star Netflix-series.
I'm positive, open minded, humble / modest, flexible, outgoing and I have a finely tuned sense of humor. That’s about it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had my first Couchsurfing experience when I was in Iran. It was amazing. It was so much easier to really get to know the place and feel part of it, instead of standing on the outside, trying hard to peek in.
I also learnt that Couchsurfing can be rewarding for the hosts too. The families in Isfahan, Shiraz and Kashan who took me and other travelers in, did this because they felt they (and their children) could learn from travelers. But even more so, they educated us and they were simply happy to share. They enjoyed the company of open minded people from all over the world. I guess that is what Couchsurfing is all about. I would like to be a part of that…
