My name is Polina and I grew up in Las Vegas, NV. I have lived in China for a year teaching English and enjoy traveling when I have the opportunity to do so. Some of my other passions include cooking and dancing to a wide range of partner dances. I recently started doing AcroYoga and would love to "play" with anyone that might be interested.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to travel to as many places as I can. One of the joys that I find when traveling is meeting locals and learning more about their culture and traditions. I like to avoid the overcrowded tourist destinations and like having a more authentic representation of the city.

Interests

I started ballroom dancing when I was in college and from there I transitioned into the more social dance styles of swing and salsa. I love exploring the different dance culture of places I travel to. While living in China, I occasionally danced with the elderly in local parks or metro stations. Due to the partner component of dancing that appeals to me I also recently started doing Acroyoga.

Even though I am no master chef, I still enjoy experimenting and cooking for others. For close to a year, I have been co-hosting a weekly dinner for a group of friends from all different backgrounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book hands down is the Alchemist! I enjoy a wide rang of music and movies. Not a fan of heavy metal and horror films.
