Hello everyone! My name is Chris and I was born in Romania. I graduated with a Master's Degree at European studies, at the faculty of International Relations in my hometown, Oradea.

I have visited Hungary, Austria and Germany but only for a few days.
In 2012 I lived in Malta during my Erasmus internship and in 2016 I lived in Turkey as a volunteer English teacher for AIESEC.

After my volunteer program finished, I started work in customer support for HP, troubleshooting on issues related to printers for customers living in the UK and Ireland, after which I transferred to the sales department where I have been working since December 2016. I can say it's a really nice job, especially because I have the opportunity of speaking English every day (and getting paid for it haha), but sometimes it does have its difficulties, like any job.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet people from all around the world. I hold no boundaries when it comes to intercultural relations. I religiously identify myself as a cosmopolitan and when it comes to foreign languages, I can never stop talking about them.

I also love to travel very much, which is why I am here :D

In my heart I hold two of my biggest life goals:
- The first is to spend a great part of my life traveling and experiencing the many cultures around the world.
- The second one is to learn as many languages possible can so I can communicate

Music:
- New Age music of all the types
- 60s rock music such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix.
- Classical music by Schubert, Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Brahms and Strauss.

Movies:
I love everything by Kurosawa, Scorsese, Leone, Kubrick, Ridley Scott, Tim Burton, Hitchcock and Coen Brothers.

Books:
My favorite genres are adventure and fantasy books but I also really enjoy reading realist fiction. Here are some of my favorites:
- Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson;
- The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway;
- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho;
- Animal Farm by George Orwell;
- Harry Potter series;
- The Lord of the Rings series;
I love the poems by Edgar Allan Poe and Robert Service and I also have a great admiration for Howard Phillips Lovecraft.

I would love to teach languages. This is my ultimate hobby that hopefully will blossom into a career.
I'm not good at cooking but I would love to learn.
I believe that sharing knowledge and experiences is the most rewarding aspect in life.
