Overview
About Me
Open-minded, free-spirited and easygoing.
I'm polyamorous, a burner, love pole dancing and I'm building up my own business as a personal trainer - a far cry from my previous career as an IT professional.
I consider myself an ethical hedonist - getting the most enjoyment out of life as possible, not just for myself but for others as well and all the while minimizing harm to all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a good way to travel and to meet other travelers. I learn much more about different cultures and points of view through meeting others than through reading books or listening to generalizations and stereotypes.
Interests
The mind and body are one and the same. Of utmost importance to the ability to experience the world is to be fit, healthy and mindful. That's why I changed careers - IT for banks was neither healthy for the body nor my ethics.
Meditation and the Burning Man culture changed my perspective forever - and by being the change I want to see in the world, I will help make our world a better place for everyone.
I came to pole dancing after a spinal tumor damaged a leg nerve, preventing me from doing all my previous sports... and I love it! A perfect combination of dance, gymnastics, beauty, flexibility and strength; I also want to show everyone that this is not just a sport for women and is every bit as demanding as any other classical gymnastic discipline out there.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are so many...
Good Omens by Neil Gaimen and Terry Pratchett is one of the best books I've read. A hysterically funny take on such a normally serious topic that is probably fairly realistic. The kind of unintentional laziness and incompetence that we humans display would probably lead to a similar parody if anyone tried to carry out such a big and complicated plan in real life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sat cross-legged for 4 hours straight without moving at vipassana.
I swear, I needed about 10 minutes mental preparation before I could even begin physically moving my legs again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn about your views, opinions and culture. I can of course share mine with you.
Otherwise, you'll probably rather need to hold me back from talking about health and fitness if the topic comes up.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and cooking for one is so limiting. I'd love to cook and share a meal with you.
I have a pole at home. If you can pole dance, feel free to use it! If you want to give it a go, I can show you a few basics.
I have dice, card and board games. You'll have to really try to be bored here.
