About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To not just survive, but to Thrive. Wait, there's a song in that.
ABOUT ME
I've grown up mostly in Western Colorado in Grand Junction. That's right next to Utah on the Colorado river in between the Rocky Mts. and the red sandstone cliffs. I'm untidy and I like to eat well. I've grown up traveling and it's like an addiction, I just can't stop or I'll go into withdrawal. I'm out of shape and it's my own fault. I think the smell of the wet desert is the most heavenly thing. I enjoy grocery stores. I love to laugh and I love people. I could people watch at an airport all day. Join me for an ice cream or tea sometime?
PHILOSOPHY
I like being around smiling people and I do what I can to promote people enjoying themselves wherever they are and whatever they are doing. I also think that we never stop learning and should always stay curious and open to being taught and teaching. Patience, generosity, curiosity, and kindness are important.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had great fun with Joan in Tucson, she took me to a wild birthday/Halloween celebration and it was awesome!
Interests
I love to swim and sew and read and bead. I love cheese and ceramics and science. But mostly I love Insects. That's why I got a degree in them. I'm bad at crosswords, but I do them anyway. I love the desert, especially at night, and I love snowy mountains. I love avocados, mangoes, peaches, and tea. I'm in horrible shape, but I'll give just about anything a shot. I'm afraid of getting another concussion. I want to go everywhere and eat all the best food and laugh with everyone. I'm ridiculously easygoing and perpetually untidy. I love music and being alive, but mostly I love Insects (and cheese).

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to various permutations of rock music, but I'm bad at names so please don't ask for any. I like action movies with some extra umph (Boondock Saints) and funny movies (Mrs. Doubtfire) and really really good movies. I mostly read Sci Fi/Fantasy but I won't exclude anything if its well written or interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
3 month trip to Mexico my parents took me on when I was in high school. It was stunningly beautiful and delicious and the people were incredible. The culture was so, so different and vibrant and full of festivals and celebrations and I can't imagine growing up there and ever leaving.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know things about insect reproduction that you probably don't want to know. I could teach you how to make easy lasagna or shortbread (so good) to mail to your grandma. or just eat. We could go insect hunting along the poudre river. We could hone our blanket fort skills. I always want to learn.
