About Me

I think it's always hard to describe yourself but for some reason it easy for me. I'm just a laidback mexican guy living life one day at a time. I'm usually very outspoken and sociable, except when I'm in a bad mood, which is usually twice or thrice a year, perhaps. I usually try to be very helpful to others, as I'm a moderate believer in karma. Do good things and good things will happen to you. Live and let live.

On December 2014 I left all my belongings and possesions and started a nomadic life around southeast Asia, then, for better or for worse I came to Portugal and now I'm just living one day at a time, dreaming about the next time I'll be on the road.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Based on my experience, this is a great way to meet local people. Whenever I'm traveling I try to act as local as I can, avoiding the touristic restaurants and crowded places (I still sightsee, because you can't avoid that :P) so it's been very beneficial for me! I believe that people is good by nature and when someone open the door to their houses to a stranger, based only in mutual trust, well, there's something magical about it.

I've hosted a lot of people in my place in Porto and ALL of them were great experiences, where I met people that I still keep in touch with. I've hosted more than I've surfed, but now on my trip to southeast Asia, that will change, hopefully!

Interests

Art, movies and music. I do illustrations and a bit of graphic design for a living so I'm in touch with that all day long. I also enjoy watching movies and walking through the city while listening to great music, which, in my case, can range from mexican banda to Europe's most sophisticated german beats. It's all about the mood and the situation. And of course, traveling. I love it. Also cooking and eating. Also, drinking. Good company and good talks about travel experiencies, comics, videogames, life philosophies, stupid internet memes, etc...
