About Me

Born and raised in Paris to a Moroccan dad and a Romanian mom, with a Latino name and an American accent in English and went to a Catholic school in a Jewish neighborhood. I guess globalization is a good thing, then?

When not traveling, you can usually see me around the streets of Paris working as a tour guide (if you've been there, I'll gladly answer any questions might you have about the city!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not necessarily that much of an idealist but I do still actually believe that meeting and entering the lives of people, forging friendships through the way, helps make the world a more open and knowledgeable place!

Interests

I enjoy performing stand-up comedy, running, refusing sobriety, nerding out and talking too much. Not necessarily in this order, though.

  • dining
  • cooking
  • beer

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything Scorsese, Brazil, The Life of Others, Old Boy, Pan's Labyrinth...
As for music, I'll literally listen to everything as long as it's good, with a preference for totally fuzzed-out and distorted guitars. Ok ok, I'm a liar, everything excluding turbofolk/doom metal/minimal techno (yes, I'm an elitist.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing pushups with drunken salarymen in front of a sex-shop is basically the point where I thought my life was complete.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach you the basics of Romanian, talk for hours on end about the history of North American soccer, showing you how to make crepes,...
And, obviously, helping you with your French (I taught French in a high school in London for a year, so I might even do a decent job out of it!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bad jokes and good conversation!
