Overview
About Me
We are complementary globe-trotter lovers.
Marie :
I am a very open minded and sociable person. I like to talk to people and laugh, I love animals and travels, cooking and share my passion for cooking. And of course, as a logical consequence I am very fond of good food ^^.
Jocelyn :
I enjoy discovering far unusual countries, and to marvel at the small things of the everyday life, to savour the simple pleasures : watch a good movie, cuddle my lovely cat, tinker in the garden, receive friends at home, go for a ride at bicycle or enjoy the cooking of my beloved wife.
PHILOSOPHY
Marie :
Nothing impossible, if you want to and put all your energy into it, you'll do it.
Jocelyn :
Why wait if you can live your dreams right now?
Happiness is not the destination but the path.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
During our holidays we look for nice people able to host us. We are friendly and communicative guests, very clean, respectful and easy to deal with.
The rest of the time we take care of surfers in our comfy home and do everything possible to make their stay the best. :-)
Interests
We are by nature very curious and always ready for new experiences. Among our main interests we can talk about Asia, travels, animals (especially cats), cooking (mmm!), walks, nature, art, architecture, bizarre sites, horror movies...
We recently rediscovered boardgames and enjoy it very much. Since our small town has nothing to offer at evenings, for sure you'll be proposed a game if you come to our home! ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Marie loves horror and cooking movies : suspect mixture, isn't it? Yet Jocelyn will never eat dead man brains, she promissed in front of the wedding officer! Favorite movie : Shikgaek, 2 hours of korean recipes and artistically garnished meals.
On the music side, pretty much all except rap : electronic music (Jocelyn compose some), bresilian, classical, carribean...
On the reading side, Marie loves novels about French history, whereas Jocelyn prefers the novels of Dean Koontz and Stephen King (horror/fantastic), John Le Carré (spy stories) and contemporary japanese novel writers (Haruki Murakami, Ryu Murakami, Banana Yoshimoto, Risa Wataya).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Marie :
- live in Amazonia among monkeys
- follow my great-grand mother's track through the Canada from the East Coast to the very end of Manitoba and at last find her tombstone... and meet her descendants!
- see northern lights in Arctic
Jocelyn :
- horse riding through the mongolian steppe
- hanging from an incredible personal airship and just flying with my arms like fins!
- Climb on a volcano, stand on the edge of the crater and watch down the lava explosions
Teach, Learn, Share
Marie :
I would really enjoy to share my passion for cooking, but also learn how cooking is done in other countries. I'm also fond of French History so you can launch me on the subject without any problem! ;-)
Jocelyn :
I like speaking about local architecture and history. Don't hesitate to tell if I get boring! ;-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
