ABOUT ME

I'm alive, and intend to live like I am. I'm happy, energetic and speak a lot. During the day I pose as a high school teacher. Teaching students in the ways of science and math. At night I'm a ninja (well ninja in training). I do karate, muay thai and MMA. I love dancing, art and music, so anytime I have a spare moment I love to dance, draw, scrapbook, or play music. I love learning. Whether it be something or someone new I don't care, a brain is a terrible thing to waste. I've just taken up practicing guitar, and am loving it. I love to see new places and meet new people. Everyone's story is different and I find them all interesting to learn about.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOW what a ride!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this CS project. But i'd love to show any newbies around my part of town (Brisbane to Gold Coast area and anywhere in between) I'm happy to catch up for a coffee and cake and show off the beautiful world of Oz to you. And hoping to make new friends along the way. I'd love to be able to go traveling and already know people in the town. No guide book is better than a local.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about this place through a person I met traveling at the end of last year. I haven't had any other experiences yet. But I hope to have many in the near future so stay tuned for an update.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everything. My life is amazing and I love every moment of it. Though one moment in time that has stuck with me- End of last year I was in Sri Lanka volunteering at an orphanage. There was this one lady that was helping there that didn't speak any English, we became friends (yah most of your communication comes from your body not from your mouth :-p) and I remember siting on the steps with her trying to teach her to count to 10 in English, and she was trying to teach me to count to ten in Sinhala. It was so funny and not very successful. But it gave me a new look on how to teach.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach- About my world in Australia, come to karate and muay thai with me for a week for free. Some salsa dancing in the bottom of a pub or on the street with me. I'm a post uni student so I know Australia can be expensive but I no how to find cheap deals. Some of the best things are free.

Learn- I'd love to learn a new language, a different way a different culture lives. I just want to learn about new and far away places.
