ABOUT ME

I think Miranda was pretty spot on, I do love an impromptu adventure.

I am both excitable/enthusiastic and sensitive/thinky.

I have lived in lots of share houses and I'm considerate, clean, tidy, helpful and self-sufficient.

Interests

Love my job. I work in community arts and cultural development (see www.poppyvog.com), animation, film, photography, sculpture, installation, printmaking, painting, puppets, theatre design, advocacy, grant-writing, coordinating, instigating and artistic direction.

My work is mostly based in metro Perth but have done residencies in the Pilbara, Goldfields, Gascogne, Great Southern, eastern states, China and UK.

For fun I like all of the above plus swimming, yoga, cooking, strumming, teaching, learning, nature-visiting, diy adventures, gardening, hanging out while doing something else, dancing and playing like children.

Music, Movies, and Books

Labyrinth, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Doctor Who, Ender's Game, science facts and science fiction in general, Zombatland by Suitcase Royale, Bunk Puppets and right now, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell is rocking my world.

I never watch tele but if I did I'd watch Battlestar Galactica, 30 Rock, So You Think You Can Dance, True Blood, an SBS doco and the occasional bit of mind-numbing goodness like um maybe Master Chef or something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trying to find our way through the forest on Ko Phi Phi in the dark and seeing fireflies for the first time.

Staying in Robodock in Amsterdam, which is a piece of land where artists make their own houses. For example one guy lived in a pyramid made of mirrors that floated on the water and another guy made a plane which he'd taken to the Sahara to fly!
