About Me

I'm a 21-year-old Journalism student from Romania. Highly passionate about meeting people, travelling, photography, video editing, reading literature and blogging.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I adore alternative traveling and meeting new people from different cultures whenever I get the chance. I guess Couchsuring is the best place to be if you want to make great memories from all over the world, alongside a bunch of other cool people!

I am living with my parents at the moment, since I am going to University in my hometown, but once I get my own place, be sure I'll be changing the status into "definitely accepting guests!"

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to pretty much anything, from traditional folk music to hip-hop and dubstep. I love meeting people who are willing to share their playlists with me - so don't hesitate!

Movies: Into the wild, Moonrise kingdom, Moscow does not believe in tears and so many more.

Books: One hundred years of solitude, One flew over the cuckoo's nest, The silence of the lambs and anything from Chuck Palaniuk and Jonathan Safran Foer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure what to write here... I think it was pretty amazing that I got to spend ten days in Albania learning folk dances from Kosovo, Italy and Turkey. Or that I played in a comedy in Turkish (and I don't speak the language) on a stage, in front of a Turkish audience, of course, in Turkey. Yes, these have definitely been fun things.

But maybe the most amazing thing that I've done is being able to still keep in touch and have a long-distance friendship with a good part of the people that I've met during my travels.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm. I can share with you my blog: http://www.lajoliejulie.com, where I write mostly about traveling and personal style.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, since I carry my camera with me almost everywhere I go, I can share with you some tips for filming, editing or taking photos. As I said before, I can share with you my music playlist... or teach you some Romanian dances or phrases.

I also love sharing ideas and thoughts on different topics and I usually talk a lot, so I'm sure will find plenty of subjects to debate! xx
