ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going, talkative, fun girl from Barcelona, somehow 'torn' between my home country and England. I have lived in London for quite a while and I'm in Brighton now, and I'm always happy to meet new people. My attitude would be to enjoy every day with whatever it has to offer (may it be discovering new places, meeting new people, chilling out, doing nothing, making plans, who knows) and to keep walking.

I try to enjoy what I do at the moment. being content with what you have may seem difficult, but I think it's the way to go if you don't wanna loose your mind in the way. Make plans, try and finish what you do, try and earn a bit of money, just what you need to live, make some friends and take care of the old ones, have culture.

Interests

I'd say I'm a balanced person. I love to read, (why else would I study literature at uni?), I love to go to the theatre from time to time and to the movies as well... But I'm not all calm and tranquility; I also do like going out. I'm the kind of person who loves to go round the neighbourhood having a few drinks with her friends, chatting or getting to know each other. I also like to go dancing from time to time and going to gigs.

Music, Movies, and Books

May seem old-fashioned, but I love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Read the book 3 times and lost the count of the times I've seen the movie. I also dig Ibsen. I've already gone thrice to the theatre to see Doll's house. I love the way in which James Joyce, TS Eliot and Hanif Kureishi write, although I'm pretty sure we could never ever be friends.

One of the films I loved most was Lost in Translation, by Sofia Coppola. Sadly, I didn't like it as much when I saw it again at home. Still good film.

In musical terms... well, i've listened or listen pretty much to all sorts of more or less alternative music and rock in probably all of its variations, indie, hardcore, punk. Also some hip hop. Let's see, just to metion a few, i love Soundgarden and Nirvana, also the Vaccines and Arctic Monkeys. Anything from the White Stripes to Janis Joplin, from Rage Against the Machine to Pixies. Justice or Misfits. However, when it comes to going out I tolerate a bit more than that.

Teach, Learn, Share

After my little experience in couchsurfing, I'd like to warn my yet-to-meet-friends that I really appreciate that they make me feel like they contact me because I have something special, not because I'd be a good free tour guide or hotel room. So, please explain a bit of yourselves when you email me and tell me why you want to experience my city together with me :). I think that if we all did that, the couchsurfing experience would be much more positive and personal. Thanks you all in advance!
