ABOUT ME

I was born Canadian with Portuguese blood running in my veins...the outcome? A proud Portuguese Canadian torn between two of the most wonderful places on earth!

I was raised in Canada but after many visits to my family´s home land, and falling in love with the culture, the language, the people, the land, the ocean etc...I moved to Portugal 3 years ago.

I live in the middle of the Atlantic on the island of Faial - far away from the cold snow winters back in Canada!

I live with my husband, Nelson and nearly 4 year old son... who is the love of my life (sorry Nelson lol)

I love to travel, I love to meet new people and learn about different cultures... and hope to pass that on to my son!

PHILOSOPHY

Ahhh... I could definately write a lot here hahaha
For now I want people to know that my philosophy in life and what I strive to teach my son everyday is that we must not only respect and want to be respected... we must become people WORTHY of being respected!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still new to the CouchSurfing experience...but love the idea and have hosted before and hope to do so again... and also to surf along with my hubby and son! I want us to experience the world together.

I love to travel, to learn about other cultures and meet new people.
We love to go for walks, watch movies, play soccer and make friends.

I love Superman lolol I fell in love with Superman at the age of 4 when I boycotted cartoons LOL.. and have never gotten over my fantasy of a man who could save us the world! I specifically became a fan of Christopher Reeve who later on became a real life hero searching for a cure for paralysis... which is my area of studies.
Other than Superman I like a lot of other movies... anything that makes me laugh or think...
I like a lot of books... but what comes to mind as my favorite is "Nothing is Impossible" by Christopher Reeve... someone who really inspired me in my life and who I ended up naming my son after.
