About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover as much of Europe as possible with my EuRail pass

ABOUT ME

I'm a French and English double major, and plan on going to grad school after I get my B.A. and probably study French or Romance Languages. I haven't decided yet.

I will be spending 3 weeks in Southern Sweden at the end of May until mid to late June. At that point my best friend from Oregon, Robbie (we went to elementary school together) and me will be doing our tour of Europe.

I love dogs, red wine, most kinds of music, am perpetually stuck in the 1960s worldview wise, very spiritual but not practicing any religionm 4/20 friendly, and I love the green and forests of my homestate. Very liberal and also very politically-minded--I also enjoy a good debate!

Robbie is also studying at PSU. He is one year older than I am and is a Spanish and English double major last I checked. He likes punk and folk and rap, skateboards and plays guitar. He's one of the politest people I know.

We're both shy but talkative once you get us going!

PHILOSOPHY

Try to the most decent person you're capable of. I look at the Universe as a Being and try to give it what I want to get back. It's difficult, but it's all a learning process.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once I get back to the States and get my apartment situation going in Portland I'll definitely be ready to host some people! I think this is a really neat project, and I've got several acquaintances here in France that have used it to great success and highly recommended it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I sort of already went into this I think in About Me. But here goes, anyway:

music, most literature (especially french romantic poetry and native american lit), writing poetry (i know, i know, but it doesn't suck, i swear!), taking walks, hiking, jogging, dogs in all of their glory and wisdom, learning languages, traveling, interesting conversation

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Prehistoric caves in Southwestern France complete with paintings and/or drawings from peoples 15,000 years ago.

Teach, Learn, Share

Jeez, I don't know what to put here. I have a lot of knowledge on random things that interest me, because I seem to have a great memory for remembering small details. As already noted, I speak French and obviously English. I know how to cook and bake, and well, so I would be more than happy to help out with dinner, for example.
