Near Zürich

Hi! I would love to welcome you in my home! I live in Pfäffikon ZH - please not that there are two villages named Pfäffikon; the other one is Pfäffikon SZ.

With me lives also my son (23); the other three children have moved out, so there's space for visitors :-).

There's a really lovely lake 10 minutes by foot from my place (protected landscape). You can walk around within 1.5 to 2 hours. And in summer it's fun to go swimming. If you like cycling, I will lend you one of my bikes (a pedelec or a "normal" one).
As the landscape is quite hilly, my home is a good place to start for longer or shorter hikes.

We'd love to offer you a stay and are looking forward to meeting friendly, interesting people.
Parking available, 15 min. walking to train station, from there 30 min. to the City of Zurich (20 min. by car).

Good to know: we're a vegan household, non-smokers and no pets.

We're not the type of vegans that are trying to persuade people - everyone has the right to decide about his lifestyle. But we would expect you to respect our beliefs and not to consume or store animal products at our place while living here.
If you are a smoker: no problem! We do have an ashtray on the terrace.

About myself:

I have been a music teacher since 1993 and I still love my job! I play the piano, the violin (not too well, actually), the guitar (chords only) and the recorder. Therefore you will find lots of music instruments and you are very welcome to use them. 🎹🎻🪈

As I really LOVE cooking you will find a very well equipped kitchen, and I would love to cook for you or let you prepare a nice meal for me.

If I have the time I will also be happy to show you around in Zurich or in the surroundings of my house.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of offering friendly people a free stay and helping them to have a good time in Switzerland. And on the other hand, I like the idea of staying at other people's place and getting to know how they live.
