About Me
-currently travelling in North Africa-
ABOUT ME
French, 41 years old, born and raised in Paris.
I love to expand my horizon.
there's one important thing I should mention about me :
I have a little problem with my ears, tinnitus, hyperacusis...
you will probably not even notice it but noise does wear me out a lot. so just don't expect me to go to a loud party or even a noisy bar, especially when I travel. basically, the amount of noise I can take in a day is much less than the average healthy person.
no drama though, as I already said, you'll probably not even notice this small handicap. I'm still a musician, I still play basketball (and some games can be pretty loud), I still travel a lot (I visited 110 different countries so far). I also still play my musical instruments and I listen to A LOT of music.
I just keep my earplugs in my pocket all the time to prevent any major issue.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
talk and share.
one word to those who want to surf my couch (which is definitely a bed) :
since my schedule is always pretty loose, there's very little chance I can host you for sure if you're sending me a request more than one month in advance.
one last thing, I love English but I'm not a big fan of the "lingua franca" part of it (convenient but not very challenging). so you can send me requests in Spanish, German and Russian (and French of course), I will definitely answer in these languages and I'll even be happier to host you.
I also rent out the apartment I was previously living in : http://vacation-paris-apartment.com/
and participating in CS makes me feel less guilty:)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
not a newbie anymore thanks to the zillion amazing people I met in different places.
Interests
travels (I've been to 110 countries so far), languages (I speak fluently five of them), History (my bookshelves are full of History book), music (all genres and I play several instruments), cinema (I've seen way too many movies in my life)...
honestly, I like a million things. I'm what people call a "culture vulture".
and I don't like using capital letters at the beginning of sentences for aesthetic reasons.

Music, Movies, and Books
there are currently 54887260058 references on my list and many more to come.
it goes from Darkthrone to Sergey Parajanov, passes Kawabata Yasunari, Claude Sautet and Public Enemy, turns left to Stefan Zweig, Hélène Carrère d'Encausse, Werner Rainer Fassbinder and Vivaldi, makes a quick right to Iron Maiden (Bailey's era included), Jean Ferrat and Maurice Pialat, goes straight to Aki Kaurimaki and David Cronenberg, straight again to Andrzej Wajda, Ulver, Bill Evans and Jacques Tardi, right to André Malraux and Isaac Asimov until it reaches Jim Jarmusch and Jean-Paul Sartre where it makes a U-turn to Morbid Angel, REM and The Who and finally goes back and extremely fast to Atom Egoyan, Simon Schama, Slayer, Sufjan Stevens, Robert Silverberg, Philip K Dick (preferably Ubik), the Marquis de Sade, Diderot, Hergé, Skepticism, the Congos, Paradise Lost (not Milton's), Faith No More, Eric Rohmer and David Bowie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I bought plain white socks in a supermarket several times.
I eat fruit.
I see cars almost everyday.
Teach, Learn, Share
learn to know each other.
then everything can happen.
a friendship can develop in a minute if chemistry's in the air.
friends are the best teachers.
learning and teaching mean A LOT to me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
nothing, I am as dull as a cold potato.
