ABOUT ME
Five years ago while on my first trip away, I was told by a Canadian man to never let any moss gather on my feet. His words have stuck with me ever since and I haven't sat still for the last five years. Between finishing up my degree while on three different continents, finding work on a small ship in Alaska, living in a campervan in New Zealand, riding trains across India, trekking to 17,000 ft in Nepal and working across Australia, my wanderlust has yet to be sated. I've just now finished working a summer as an adventure tour guide for Intrepid in the USA. I'm now using up my United Airlines buddy pass till the end of the year!
PHILOSOPHY
It's actually something deeper than mere happiness: it's joy, which is that kind of happiness that does not depend on what happens.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has introduced me to new friends and unusual experiences. In Alaska, my surfing host got me on a small seaplane tour soaring high above the fjords and snow dusted peaks. In Portland, Oregon, I found myself partaking in, and taking second place in, a grape-stomping competition at a winery my hosts knew the owners of. It has been a remarkable way to travel and delve a bit deeper into the places I have been.
Interests
Photography, eating, writing, reading, skiing, hiking, and always looking to widen my repeitiore of random skills such as card shuffling, manual car driving, knitting, among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Soaring at in a hot-air balloon at sunrise over the Canterbury plains in Christchurch, New Zealand. Staring down into the wide open mouth of a humpback whale while it was bubble-net feeding in Southeast Alaska. Working at the Playboy Mansion halloween party's haunted house. Trading my blister-making boots along the Annapurna Circuit for a necklace and finishing the trek in sandals and socks.
