Overview
About Me
I like sci fi, hand crafts, children's literature and classic rock. I don't travel as much as I'd like to because well, life. But whenever I travel, I want to meet locals and see the less touristy side of things. Would love a long conversation over a beer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend convinced me to create a Hospitality Club profile years ago, when we were traveling together. Moved to Couchsurfing some time later - mostly to surf and meet new people, but also to host and help out in other ways if I only can. Now it's been ages since I've used Couch Surfing, but would like to go back to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Now that I think about it, it's probably the time I hitch-hiked around France some years ago. And well, I left my home tow to live abroad, which was a huge enterprise. We did it!
Teach, Learn, Share
Language exchange! I'm an English teacher and Polish is my native language - not a very popular one to learn for foreigners, but maybe you're interested (although every time I try to teach some basic Polish to somebody I end up teaching swear words only)? Also, I try to make good use of every chance to practice my Russian, so if you speak it you're more than welcome to have a conversation with me. And apart from languages: I love speaking and listening, there's usually a lot of knowledge, opinions and humour worth sharing. Talk to me about literature, music, the way you see the world - anything that's worth having a conversation about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd like to believe I'm a pleasant company with some interesting things to say. And in case that's not enough (that and teaching you some Polish swear words, as I've mentioned in some other section here) I usually try to bring a small gift for my host: a bottle of Polish vodka if you like it the traditional way, or maybe something hand made? Let me know what you'd like, I'll see what I can do. Unfortunately, it usually doesn't apply when I'm traveling for a longer period of time and visiting several hosts in a row - you don't want that much vodka in a backpack you carry every day! ;)
