About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Starting a road-trip in Italia !

ABOUT ME

I am a 21 year old boy, student in Environmental Policy and Agricultural Development, music-lover, essay reader.
My passion is passionated people :). I don't say that as a small sentence, I truely thinks that if I really feel happy today I owe it to the many passionated and truely happy people that I have had the luck to met in my life, be they friends, relatives or just people I don't even know.
Passionated/curious people are my references, they help me not to go into the easy pitfalls of cynicism and derision.

PHILOSOPHY

Get drunk with life ?
More seriously I don't like to say "carpe diem" as this sentence is sometimes over used but the task of trying to live everyday as if it was the first, as if it was the last, looks like a good approach of life. Though not always easy :).

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS
I am more an essay reader than a novel reader. Preferences for philosophy of sciences and technique (Michel Serres, Bernard Stiegler, Bruno Latour) ; and current issues of economy/ecology/politics.
More and more I go towards the poetical side of political discourse: Aimé Césaire writings, Mandela etc... It makes my heart move.

When younger I used to work in a bookshop, which was a pretty nice experience. I have especially enjoyed several initiation books of Herman Hesse, a great writer of the beginning of XXth century : Le loup des steppes, Demian and Siddartha. I've also been shaped by George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farms. Gregory David Roberts' terrific book Shantaram has made me wanting to go to India.

MUSIC
Techno, house music (Chicago house, deep house), jazz, afrobeat, dubstep, chanson française, things that can't be classifiend.
I used to write on a music blog and I really love many kind of music, with a special taste for good electronic music and would be pleased to discover the best music spots of your town.
Recently I had my mind destroyed during two weeks of intense and open partying in Berlin... amazing.

MOVIES
The Night of the Hunter ; Aurora ; Nosferatu ; Modern Times ; The Dictator ; Metropolis ==> one of the best movies I have seen.
La Belle Verte : ecology, spiritualy, fun and utopy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The faces of human beings when they are totally true, sincere and emotional. When the masks fall. Generally speaking this amazing thing happens often while sharing live musical moments. It always makes me full.
Travelling around the sacred mount Arunachala at Tiruvanamalai on an ox-cart crowded with people, on an Indian road with crazy buses and motorbikes slaloming around us.
Attending the Rio+20 United Nation Conference in the french delegation.
Dancing in South-African townships. Dancing for the rising sun in the middle of the rural Western Cape at a big trance party. Dancing 30 hours non-stop in an "illegal" Berlin night-club (sober). Dancing. Dancing. Dancing.
