About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Tour Across U.S and Canada This Fall

ABOUT ME

I love reading, hosting themed brunch parties, thrift and free store shopping, dancing, traveling, learning languages and singing. I am a pretty busy person who always has a couple projects on the go. I volunteer with non-profits a lot. I say what's on my mind and often it can be quite funny in a song format.

I graduated this spring (2014) Alaska and am giving making a living off my music and art a try. This tripI am on right now is my biggest music tour ever, 26 shows! www.bigmamalele.com for my music

PHILOSOPHY

I'll try anything once and now is probably the best time to do so

Music, Movies, and Books

I've worked in libraries for years; I cannot just put a few books on here! But, I always finish every book I start, usually in the same night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was an exchange student studying folk music in eastern Siberia and visited villages where I was the first foreigner ever to stop there (which was a big deal!) lots of music and song sharing and a range of new foods, getting drunk on fermented mare's milk while speaking babyish Russian to the most patient listeners ever. the generosity and welcoming from the villagers was incredible and probably this most intense day of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a poutine expert. the former writer and editor of Poutine Zine, I can advise you on the likes of breakfast poutine, poutine pie and alligator jambalaya poutine etc...

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
