About Me

I am a New Zealander born in Auckland but I moved suddenly to the UK with a one-way ticket some six years ago and I've lived in Glasgow ever since.

I'm a writer of various things - recently I wrote a film as an experiment since a friend asked me to write one for him. It was a interesting failure in my opinion, but Stan seemed happy with it. I'll try it again I think. Besides that I am interested in experimental writing and poetry. I seem to have developed a side-line in writing smart-arse speeches for my friends birthdays and weddings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted people in Auckland for more than a year before I even surfed myself for the first time, through Scotland and the UK, which was great fun as well!

Couchsurfing is the main reason I met most of the incredible people I am good friends with now I'm settled in Glasgow. I've met some of my closest friends through this website and had some excellent experiences.

I mean it when I say my life would be totally different if it wasn't for Couchsurfing.

Interests

Poetry & Poetics and writing in general

Politics and media (which I studied)

Board -games and video games and pretty much any kinds of games.

I used to go to a damn-sight more gigs than I do these days but I'm still in to it in theory.

I had three salsa dancing lessons once and then had to stop because I sprained my ankle. I always meant to take it up again. Anybody want to learn Salsa dancing?
