ABOUT ME

I have lived most of my life in Australia in my home town, Sydney. However I have been lucky in that my parents are Sri Lankan, giving me a taste of both Eastern and Western cultures, and allowing me to absorb from both equally.

PHILOSOPHY

Be a good person and good things will come to you. Live life with love and passion, there's enough people doing it the other way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've now had one couch surfing experience through the CS site and it was great. I have also couch surfed, though not through the site, just by meeting people along mytravels. I have also hosted many people at my house in Sydney, that I have met in different places. My parents ingrained hospitality in me from a young age and welcome people gladly.

Interests

The arts in its various forms - I guess this part of me seeks to explain those things which my love of science cannot. I am most passionate about music, and dj as a hobbyy. I listen to a lot of different types of music, and I love the opportunity to converse about music with fellow fans!; It has been a while since I acted on stage, but I still relish the chance to catch a good show; Art I have only recently started again, but I had an interest from a young age; My passion for literature and poetry was instilled in me from various sources, including at home, at school and in many other places where I have met interesting people.

Science - there has always been an inquisitive part of me that has sought out scientific explanations for the world.

My love for nature started at a young age, and its great getting the opportunity to go camping or fishing; I'm not too much of an energetic person - I'm fit enough, but I'm not the type to go running onto a field just for the sake of it. Funnily enough I fell in love with snowboarding and surfing (though I am still at the beginner level for both!)
