About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Happiness is a journey...not a destination"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to meet people that can show me their world...rather be with new friends than alone in a hotel with boring tv. I used CS in both my trips to Italy and have made many friends through this. Now I want to return the hospitality to people passing through Dallas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveled around the states for 1 1/2 years with a Cirque du Soleil show. I have slept in the worse of places and the best of places in the states with this show. I came to Italy in December for 3 weeks and stayed with Nico in Firenze and with friends. Now it is almost October...I have been in Italy for over 2 months and have been hosted by several wonderful host from CS...Nico, Alessandro, Massimo, Gio, Giorgio, Michele, Fabio, Gaetano and then some friends that aren't even a part of CS but should be because they have the spirit of helping travelers out...and being great host and sharing the wonderful parts of their cities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen some pretty amazing things in my life. But recently with my travel here in Italy...it is the small, random acts of kindness from strangers that mean the most to me. A man that was on the phone on the train from Gallipoli to Lecce...he was annoying me because he was so loud...but grabbed my luggage from my hand and took it off the train...down and up at the steps at the station...back onto the second train and then off and down the steps again without a second thought...a random stranger offering me food and drink on a crowded overnight train because I didn't have and didn't even ask. The kindness of strangers in a foreign country to me is wonderful. In Italy in this time...my friends have been great...but the strangers that want to help because they know I am foreign to this country have been so wonderful. I can't thank them enough...and can't thank them at all now...because they come and go without any expectations....amazing.
