About Me
Damn my account was hacked and i lose my introduction :s, Sorry for that.ALso if you have received a friendship request in these last year, it probably wasn t me, double sorry.
So i have to renew it, Hi my name is Xavier, a french expat in London who have a deep interest in discovering the world.
I am a laid back person easy going and adaptable who maybe suffer from a lack of organization sometimes but hey nobody is perfect and i m definitely not.
I used to travel a lot few years ago and used a lot of time CS (aka my reference), i ve got a principle to pay a rent by cooking pancake if i m hosted for more than 2 days, i will try to keep this tradition, it s a good one.
For those who knows, i am also a burner aka i do (and often organize) event related vaguely to Burning Man, basically we keep the principle of an utopia of crazy lovely people without the size of THE Burn.
Else i am a juggler, a musician, a poUet, an origamist,... i m quite a lot of stiff actually; I m a jack of ll trade, meaning i have a LOT of various interest but im not really a master in any
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
because i m not a typical tourist, i loathe hostel and prefer discovering a country by the eyes of the local people; that s the way to travel properly to my opinion
and also i don't remember where i saw that but i m totally agree "A stranger is just a friend i didn't met ...yet"
Interests
like i said they re huge and not fixed in a point in time, think about everything possible in the world and i would, have, will express interest in it at one point.
- burningman
- video games
- reading
- traveling
- socializing
- juggling
- music
Music, Movies, and Books
i m more into sci fi, fantasy or books and movies but in music, i m also really eclecthic (??) ...even some pop song if we pass the annoyance of them being famous without being the best music ever (contrary to some unknown but really great music all around us) are somewhat good sometimes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to say Burning Man 2013 which despite somehow missing the human link are a fucking visual and emotionnal slap in your perception.
But all the story also around this event was quite epic (but too long to say here).
So since, i got addicted and got involved in a lot of burn event every year which is also great.
Else in a more casual way, squatting in London is quite a unusual but instructive way of life
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach : origami, a little bit of juggling, balloon modeling, ...
i want to learn, ok to tell a famosu quote from a curious mind in an anime "show me what you got"
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good meal especially if i cook my "crepe" (in french in the text)
an amazing night out in the deep culture of their country (with some drink and good tunes)
Being treated like the friend i will become from the start actually
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Spain, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
