About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I wanna live happily ever after. (And get a good job with my PhD thesis.)

ABOUT ME

I like beer in pubs or at home, but not in clubs. (You usually get only watered down stuff there.)
I like music, alternative, rock and pop (but NO RnB).
I dig the Beatles, not Elvis (if you get the reference).
Alien 2 and 4, not Alien 3.
Godfather 1, maybe 2, but not 3.
I LOVE ALL The Matrix movies though (even if Reloaded is messed up really bad.)
Philip K. Dick, not Tolkien.
Trains, diesel locomotives, trams (streetcar / light rail), bikes, tractors, airplanes, and not so much keen on cars.
Local food, NEVER McDonalds.
Meat and chicken, not soup (but I know quite a few vegeterians, even a vegan.)
Cats, not dogs (although I tolerate dogs as well, and people who like dogs can be very nice, I admit. And I do not have any cats at the moment.)
Most recently: "Moon" or "District 9," not "Avatar."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted quite a few travelers in Budapest, showing them the funky neighborhood and interesting places in the city. I was a guest a couple of times in Europe. I was contributing to CS activities (regularly attending weekly meetings) in Jyvaskyla (Finland) while I was there for 2.5 years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of fun! I especially like hosting people when I can, to learn about foreign places and to "travel" without leaving my home.

Simply too much to elaborate on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited the US Open in Flushing Meadows, and saw Roger Federer there when he was a nobody. Next day, I bumped into Pete Sampras on the street.
