Ciao, my name is Praise and I am a student pursuing my Bachelors in Sociology and Education back in the states. This semester, I have the privilege of studying abroad in Italy and getting to explore the EU to a larger extent. I am hoping to take advantage by finding authentic spaces (bars, restaurants, places to visit, etc.) everywhere I go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part about my time abroad (so far) has been talking to locals and getting to learn more about the interworkings of countries and going beyond the surface level. I am looking forward to having many more experiences of this nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Harry Potter - because it’s a classic. Also Michelle Obama's Becoming is amazing.

Shows/ Movies: Recently I watched the show You on Netflix and loved the thought-provoking discussions I had with friends as a result. Definitely check it out!

I am a huge fan of most things Jane Austen (Becoming Jane and Pride and Prejudice especially).

Music: I'm a fan of most music though I must admit, my favorites like Summer Walker and Ella Mai generally fall in R&B. I also really love listening to live Jazz music and/or old music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I drove to Montreal Canada during one of the worst winters in 30 years. It's a great story, I'll have to tell you about it.
