ABOUT ME

Prataap Jai is a creative, artistic, intellectually stimulating and physically motivating space. A tea bar and art gallery, classes in Thai and English from dance and yoga to art, weaving and languages. A creative and beautiful place to spend some time! We open April 9th 2011!
The primary mission of Prataap Jai is to bridge the cultural and communication gap between a growing influx of both Thai and foreign tourists with foreign and Thai residents in the Chiang Rai area.
General Information:
As an art gallery, tea house, cultural educational center, and small store theater, we aim to provide a clear alternative environment to the typical “bar scene” which is often the place where foreigners interact with Thais. The goal of our work is to enable cross-cultural exchange among foreigners and Thais; to provide a place where foreigners and locals can meet and learn from one another in positive, productive and creative ways.
