Overview
About Me
I seek to explore, learn and discover more about the world I live in, both on the inside and outside. People, places, traditions, philosophy, literature, arts, music and spirituality are all things dear to me, things I constantly learn from.
While not traveling, I devote much of my time to music, books, films and spiritual practices. And whilst travelling I skip the touristic business and head straight to get a taste of local traditions in the country side, where I like to spend time volunteering at farms and households, imbibing people and places in a truer sense.
I currently work for a social organisation based out of India that is involved in the promotion of tribal crafts and sericulture techniques mainly focused around a peculiar type of silk known as Eri, the only kind of silk in the world that is procured without boiling the cocoon to extract it's fibres.
I practice daily yoga and music for 2-3 hours, my diet is primarily vegan, but my taste buds are an inquisitive bunch . I love an evening of concerts with friends and an occasional smoke. But in most cases black tea and honey seem to do a great job.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I travel about I want to be able to expand the possibilities of making deeper connections with people and places in order to learn more, have a richer experience of life and also to be able to share whatever I have learnt myself, whatever could be of use to another.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was in the middle of the night, on an off beaten beach on the Konkan coast of India. A sky orange lit by city lights but yet dark in between all the gleam, letting the stars glisten through, flying rocks overhead, an occasional airplane, whisps of clouds left over from a previous rain. All of a sudden my senses jumped into alertness, my eyes widened as if I was preparing for it - a star fell straight down from the sky, its tail long bright, and burst just before hitting the horizon before splitting the sky from the middle. And in walked Bud.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a sustainable textile enthusiast I occasionally dabble in teaching and conducting workshops detailing the process of sericulture (ahimsa silk) cultivation and production.
