About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have just finished my 2 years backpacking travel around 3 continents (around 20 countries). This when I met a girl during the trip and now getting married in Copenhagen. After getting married, I'll be traveling to Berlin, the go down south.

This will be my first time in Europe and I am very much excited about it. Getting to know the people that I have met during my travel days. I won't be longer than my previous travels. I would love to travel around Europe but with my work and need to take care of my parents, I need to head back to my country in short span of time.

ABOUT ME

I am basically from Nepal but living outside since 2000. I was living in India and then I moved to Australia and then again i couldn't stop exploring, but this time I am exploring much of Nepal, which I had missed while I was here before.

I work for the victims of 2015 Earthquake in Nepal. Because of this too, I am traveling different parts of Nepal. Most of the places are remote and difficult to access. I really like my job and I am glad to contribute something to the country.

PS. This is my profile, but this time I am travelling with my would be wife. She is from Cali, Colombia and me from Nepal (Naturalized Australian). The combination seems very different to Nepalese society but for us we are very much excited about us being together. We are getting married in City Hall Copenhagen Denmark on Sept 8th.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was using couchsurfing before and I have used it extensively. I don't know, may be I am lucky or this the way it works, I found wonderful people during my travel. I have no complains about CS but I think CS is the best thing I did. I am so glad that I am doing it.

As of now, for travelling to Europe, I wanted my girlfriend to know how it feels like. She never have had experience before about CS, except hearing stories about me and my hosts and my guests.

This is about meeting people from different parts of the world and their views about life and everything, their experience. Its about cultural exchange. I have done many things that my hosts did and that makes me sometimes feel that I belong there. The experience of my life and it changed whole "view" towards the people of those country that I am travelling.

Interests

I am interested in many things. Things like culture, travel, movies and these days while I am traveling in Nepal, I am interested in Agriculture and farmings. Of course this is my recent interest. I haven't done yet but I am curious about it. Someday, I'll have a small backyard with vegetables and fruits.

Oh yes, I used to watch movies but these days I have tried my best not to watch movies much, as I can't get enough of watching movies. I am bit selective in movies now. While I was in Australia, my favorite TV channel was/is SBS, which used to show best movies from all over the world. May be because of those movies I am interested on travelling around and know the people that I was watching through the movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Imagine" and "Give Peace A Chance" by John Lennon, just came up in my mind while writing this.. May be looking at the current situation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Among many things, most memorable moment was when I was in Mozambique. Going to the beach with the local kids. Those were my friends back in those days. It was a family visit there, and I was a kid too. I had the best days with them. I miss those moments and I want to back track my steps and again go back there and find them and meet them. i don't know, how would it feels like when I see them.

And other amazing moments are, my diving moments in Mexico, where we could hear the sounds of whales. Oh yeah, can't forget the moments of Galapagos. Simply amazing. The list goes on.
