About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find the interesting niches in this world

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the countryside 50 km away from the nearest town, so I love to spend time outdoors. I've been skiing (alpine and nordic) and snowboarding since I could walk. My famıly and I go camping and hiking in the Canadian Rocky Mountains usually 2-3 times a year. My first love with travel was when I was 16 and went to Thailand for 1 year on a student exchange and lived with 3 Thai host families. Since then, I've travelled with my younger sister across Europe and Asia and studied for 1 semester in the UK in Autumn 2009. I love archaeology and spent 13 weeks on archaeological projects in 2010, and travelled for 8 months in between. I was very dedicated to my university education as a Masters student and traveled as much as I could in the summers. Now I am finished my Master's degree and am a working professional.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is by far the best way to travel, it is a completely different experience than staying in a hostel etc. 'Experience' is the perfect way to describe it because it unveils so many nuances and idiosyncrasies about the culture traveled in.
