COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting a very nice Italian and Hong Kong guest.
being a guest to an easy-going couple in Zurich, Switzerland.
Meeting a friendly couchsurfing woman from Bulgaria by chance on a small action on the day without cars in Bratislava :-).
Hosting two lovely girls from Slovakia, one very nice Latvian couple, and two great boys from India and France in my new home and spending too much time talking :-).
Surfing at the place of an amazing Austrian.
All in all, very positive experiences only.

Intereses

the world around and within, meeting and getting to know interesting people from different settings and cultures, having fun with them, reading, painting, photographing, learning new crafts, doing land art, observing and wondering about the beauties of the nature, visiting and a bit organizing cultural events, solving puzzles, hiking, cycling, running, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, swimming, dancing, singing with friends, herbs picking and using and I can't help having urges of crazy childish creativity ;-)

Movies I enjoyed and recommend seeing: Strazca divociny (Keeper of the wilderness), Baraka, Rivers and Tides, Amelie de Montmartre, Mar adentro, Scaphander and butterfly, Die Leben der Anderen (The lives of the others), Fast Runner, March of the Penguins, Le peuple migrateur, Czech films like Pelíšky, Musíme si pomáhat...

Music: almost anything except too hard or unmelodic music, I like melodic music with good lyrics that can influence my mood quickly; especially world music drawing on traditional tunes; now favourite: Souad Massi, Yanni, Mercedes Sosa, Los Jaivas, Norah Jones, Hradišťan, Snítilovo Kvarteto playing Dvořák, my friends playing violin, guitar, flute or even accordion and xylophone ;-)

Books: by Malcolm Gladwell, Paolo Coelho and Patrick Suesskind, Ahdaf Soueif: The map of Love, Kobo Abe: The Woman in the Dunes, Allan Sillitoe: Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, J. D. Salinger: Catcher in the Rye, Ruth Benedict: Patterns of Culture, The History of Love, etc.

Algo increíble que he hecho

many amazing things to me, perhaps not to others: e.g. dancing at night in the middle of a townsquare to the tunes of didgeridoo; seeing a black stork while cycling and almost falling on my butt ;-); watching the pelicans hunting fish at sea; receiving a living family of mushrooms as a birthday present; running downhill in the snow...
