Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just found out about CouchSurfing.com a month ago. I've been hosting people from around the world on my couches, tatami mats, and yoga studios for years... glad we're finally electronically organized!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had so many awesome couch surfing experiences around Taiwan and the USA. I've been couchsurfing almost continuously for a year and a half, since I returned to America to spend time with my dad that is ill.
When I'm not spending time with dad, I'm usually couch surfing friends' and family's couches and guest rooms, catching up after being out of the States for so long.
I've welcomed many couchsurfers to my couches, beds, tatami mats, yoga studio, and futon in my surf van in Hawaii.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my most amazing experiences was a 10-day silent vipassana meditation retreat. Read about it on my Tai Chi Taiwan blog here:
http://taichitaiwan.blogspot.com/2008/06/precious-3-week-experience-at.html
After all my travels, I felt the most amazing journey was going inward for 10 days and exploring the foundation and framework within that creates my experience every moment.
Check out the vipassana website:
They have over a hundred centers around the world that welcome people to come learn a simple yet profound non-sectarian meditation practice.
