About Me

Open Minded, chilled, easy to get along with. Love good conversations and biking to explore new places and old. Old soul. Moved to PDX in past year after east coast living for a long time. Probably one of the neatest people you will meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just moved into town and would like to get to know the CS community. I may be able to host an occasional guest as long as I clear things with my roommates.

I also really want to explore the region around me - coastal and inland Oregon and Washington. Would be fun to do some camping and hiking with good peeps.

Interests

biking, beer, burning man, brains (intelligent thoughtful conversations - any topic besides pop culture really). Love hiking and camping and exploring in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't think in terms of favorites but can list out the first things that come to mind right now. Ask me again and I would probably have a complete different list based on my mood. Love some Pink Floyd. Really love some classic house - think detroit and chicago in the 90s. Or Frankie Knuckles. Love me some Drum and Bass and Jungle too.

Been in a Jazz kick lately - lots of modern funky sh^t. Also like jazz that teaches me the history. Those artists who were game changers.

Oh, and Radiohead and Atoms for Peace rock. Last concert I saw was Foo Fighters. Dave is a Badass

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

helped co-lead my burning man camp few years back. It was a year when no one stepped up to the role and I wanted to make it an awesome experience for everyone - my playa family. Was a very challenging time for me in my career and felt exhausted in the months leading up to it, but once i got there it all fell into place and that was a sense of satisfaction unlike any other. good feeling just giving it your best and not expecting anything in return :)

Teach, Learn, Share

take a deep breath. whatever you are stressed about is manageable and you will move past it. We are capable of doing brilliant things . Enjoy the ride. you only have one opportunity to enjoy a moment, so try not to worry about the past or future. I have to remind myself of these things regularly but it helps!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a chill dude. Highly independent but love sharing space with awesome people. Filling out profiles isn't really my thing so drop a line if you have a burning desire to know more.
